Welcome Liz (again) + Remy!

You might think our new producer, Liz, looks familiar. Well, it's because she's been gracing us with her bright and fiery energy since the beginning of our Summer internship program. But she's not an intern no mo - she's our newest Producer! And with her experience rallying the best folks together for the best productions, she brings her pup Remy, our new head of Barketing. We now claim him as our own (sorry, Liz).

You've seen plenty of BTS from this shoot with 116 & West - mainly of our awesome Summer interns and a dream team crew we love so dearly. Well, we've got the finals! From script writing to production planning and execution in both video and stills, we collaborated with the creative team at 116 & West to introduce Tyler to the world, Mountain West Bank's genuine, helpful and silly fella.

You Have the Right to Disconnect.

The recent passage of Australia's "Right to Disconnect" law got us thinking about work-life balance norms in the creative field and how, so often, expectations to work after hours have slowly become cultural norms. Even though we're a small company in a relatively small creative market, we know that starting meaningful conversations often begins with exploring it ourselves.

There inevitably could be moments when it's time to burn the midnight oil, but as a day-to-day norm, we'd like to see healthier relationships for all who work within the creative field. So, we decided to start with square one - our own shop. To that end, we have elected to implement an experimental "Right to Disconnect" policy as a way of empowering ourselves to protect personal time outside of work hours.

We've always been all about passing on wisdom and knowledge about our industry and experiences as creatives to those around us, but now we get to do it in a (virtual) classroom setting. Shout out to our friends at Against Academy for teaming up with Aaron + Ryan to host an Agile Audiovisual course; designed to get folks up and running with new photo and video skills!
