Dreams Work When Teams Work..

..and we've been werking on all fronts. The end of Summer and intro to Fall has kept us on our toes and yet, we still managed to find time to keep up with ourselves.

With the addition of a couple new folks (Liz + Remy, duh) we decided to do a fresh VK photoshoot. Normally, you'd think of these as headshots, but since they're so much more than that, we like to call them ✨ portraits ✨ In true VK fashion, we cooked up a few wild ideas to try out. Ultimately, we were pretty excited to lean into a monochromatic look to embody how cool we are (sarcastically speaking, kinda). To make us look even more cool and poised, here are some outtakes from the shoot.

​Portrait Mode

Following our own photoshoot, we've had a full week of team portraits for our clients - special shout out to Figure 8 Investment Strategies for an amazing collaboration.

Our favorite aspect of organizing and participating in these shoots with folks both in and out of our own studio is the joy and comfort we bring to the process. "Headshots" can be painful for many, and there's inherently some discomfort around getting your picture taken and being the subject. That's why our approach has always been to introduce a casual and low stakes environment, paired with just the right amount of dad jokes to get your best smile without ever asking you for it.

Since we introduced video work into our services, we've had the pleasure of working on a wide range of projects - from spokespeople telling a story, to highlighting the importance of accessible voting resources, to showcasing all that Boise has to offer newcomers. That being said, we've got a fresh reel up on the site!​

Our partnership with the Downtown Boise Association has proved to make for really fun and playful collaboration, resulting in work we're pretty stoked about. Their annual Taste of Downtown event is on the horizon and in honor of that, we're sharing some art direction we helped establish!
